Similar to the UK, Malta has a strong tradition of providing high-quality healthcare that continues to this day. The distinction of being the first medical school in Gozo belongs to our Queen Mary, Malta Campus. Malta maintains strong historical ties to the UK on a number of levels as a former British colony and current Commonwealth member. With official status in both Maltese and English, the island is fully bilingual. It has good communication connections to Europe as well. Steward Healthcare oversaw the construction of the Queen Mary, Malta Campus, which was finished in October 2019. Staff and students moved from our former home of two years at the Sir M.A. Refalo 6th Form College onto the new Queen Mary, Malta campus on 26 October 2019. Located on the premises of Gozo General Hospital, the cutting-edge facility has access to a 21st-century Anatomy Center.

In collaboration with regional suppliers, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) Malta provides lodging for FMD students on the island of Gozo, mostly in the vicinity of Victoria and the Gozo General Hospital. Applications are handled via the QMUL Malta housing portal, and options include studio apartments and communal apartments.
