Ramapo College of New Jersey was founded in 1969 after the New Jersey Department of Higher Education authorized the establishment of a new state college in Bergen County.    Ramapo College of New Jersey's recreation and fitness center provides sports and fitness services. The Bill Bradley Sports and Recreation Center includes a 2,200-seat arena, fitness center, track, dance/aerobics studio, and a rock climbing wall that mimics the natural topography of the nearby Ramapo Mountain terrain.
