In Las Vegas, New Mexico, a little college was founded in 1877 by a group of exiled Italian Jesuits. The Jesuits gave this university the name Las Vegas College, which gradually developed into Regis University.

  The residential life at Regis University is lovely, comfortable, and full of educational opportunities. Internet access is provided in every residential unit, and every room is completely equipped. The housing options are co-ed and organized by floor, wing, suite, or townhome. All of the residence halls have communal lounges with enhanced basic cable television and free laundry facilities. A Resident Life Coordinator (a professional staff person), a senior staff member, numerous Resident Assistants, and Peer Ministers work in each residence hall throughout the academic year. Through educational programming, career development, spiritual direction, social events, and advising, these staff members work together to ensure and improve the quality of communal life in the hall.
