Rockhurst University History

Rockhurst University’s history started in the year 1910 as Rockhurst College. It was founded by Fr. Michael Dowling, S.J. He started this college on 25 acres of land area in Kansas. It was chartered by the state in the year 1910. It became a co-educational institute in 1969. In the year 1999, Rockhurst College got the power of a university and was renamed Rockhurst University.
