Roosevelt University

Roosevelt University is a well-known private university with two campuses one is in Chicago and second is in Schaumburg, Illinois, USA. The university was founded in 1945 and is named after former popular US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt.

Roosevelt University History

Roosevelt University's history began 75 years ago, when a visionary leader and 62 academic members had the courage to defy social norms and embrace inclusion. In 1945, they took a stand against higher education's discriminatory policies. They simply answered, "We don't count that way," when asked to limit access based on race, religion, or gender. The institution bought the Auditorium Building for one dollar in 1947, and it became the college's permanent home. In 1959, the college was renamed after Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt.

Roosevelt University Campuses

  Roosevelt University has two campuses, the primary one being the Downtown Chicago campus, the other is the Albert A. Robin Campus in Schaumburg, Illinois. Wabash, the university's newest academic building, is located in Chicago's Loop. Construction on a new facility for the downtown campus began in spring 2010 and was finished in spring 2012. The Wabash Building, a 32-story vertical campus, is the second-tallest higher-education structure in the United States and the sixth-tallest in the world. It is a multipurpose tower that houses student services, classrooms, cutting-edge science labs, administrative offices, and student housing.

Roosevelt University students have access to a number of libraries. Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate Library, Murray-Green Library, University Archives, Performing Arts Library, Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation Library, and Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation Library.

Roosevelt University Housing services

 Students at Roosevelt University have access to on-campus housing. The new vertical campus is one of three residence hall options available at Roosevelt University. All incoming freshmen and transfers are housed in the new Wabash building. The University Center of Chicago, which has apartment-style alternatives, is the other main residence hall. Fornelli Hall, located in the Pittsfield Building at 55 E. Washington Street in Chicago, is the second residence hall, featuring apartment-only choices. It houses upperclassmen from Roosevelt University in apartment-style living.

The applicant can schedule a visa interview at a US Consulate or Embassy after paying the cost. Residential life at Roosevelt University is full of joy and comfort; residents love their time here and learn a lot from the community setting. Within suite-style facilities, the Wabash Building Chicago campus offers single and shared bedrooms. Each suite is constructed with a common space, bathroom, and shower shared by the inhabitants. Suites are made up of many room kinds in different combinations. At both the Wabash Building and the University Center, all residents in suite-style rooms are required to have a food plan. A desk, a chair, a closet with drawers, and a twin XL bed are included in every room.
