Royal College of Music History

Royal College of Music is a Public College which is located in Stockholm, Sweden. It was inaugurated in 1771 as the conservatory of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music. The College is referred to as KMH. The institution upholds a history of 250 years in the field of music education. The current enrollment stands at over 900  students.

Royal College of Music offers a wide range of departments like Composition, Conducting, Orchestral Performance and Performing Arts. The College Offers Bachelors Programs in Composition - Jazz/Choir/Orchestral, Electroacoustic Music, Conducting - Choir/Orchestral, Performance - Church Music/Classical, Folk Music, Jazz, Music and Media Production and more. The Bachelor programmes are for 3 years in which students earn 180 credits.

Royal College of Music Also Offers Masters Programs in Creating New Opera, Composition - Jazz/Film Music, Performance - Jazz/Church Music/Vocal, Nordic Performances in Jazz, Music Education, Performance - Music Production and many more. Doctorate programs are not yet available at the College. Freestanding programmes are also available for students.
