Royal Roads University Campuses

Hatley Park National Historic Site is home to Royal Roads University's campus and adjacent grounds. Royal Roads leases the land from the Department of National Defence for $1 per year and takes on all stewardship responsibilities for the site, including site management, operations, heritage asset protection, preservation, and restoration, which includes all buildings on the site as well as many heritage gardens, and public education about the site's historic and natural attributes.

  Royal Roads University has a library and RRU is the university's primary library. In person and online, the Royal Roads Library encourages lifelong learning. It motivates you to find answers to your questions and provides you with the tools you need to perform self-directed research. The RRU library is available seven days a week for your convenience.

Royal Roads University Housing services

    The Nixan Buildings on the Royal Roads University campus provide housing services. There are 59 dorm rooms and 33 single occupancy rooms at Royal Roads University. Private single occupancy rooms with ensuite washrooms, mini fridges, microwaves, and coffee makers (available for short-term resident stays only) and dormitory-style single occupancy rooms with common washrooms are offered in the Nixon building.

Royal Roads University Medical services

All residents of British Columbia, including students, are obliged to have health insurance. You must have basic medical insurance while studying at Royal Roads University if you are an international student. You must register for this program if you are not currently insured by the Medical Services Plan (MSP) for BC residents. During the three-month waiting period for MSP, Royal Roads University collaborates with guard.me International Insurance to provide international students with mandatory basic health insurance.

Royal Roads University Students clubs

  Students should contact Student Services or the Royal Roads University Student Association if they want to form their own clubs or organizations. RRUSA, on the other hand, is the voice of undergraduate students. This club organizes student activities and events on campus and works with university authorities on special projects. U-Pass and the undergraduate extended health plan are also overseen by the association. Every year, the RRUSA holds elections.
