Recognized Bachelor’s Degree
– A completed bachelor’s or equivalent degree in a related field from a recognized university.
– The degree must meet the German standards for postgraduate study.

Academic Transcripts
– Certified copies of your transcripts and degree certificates.
– Translations into German or English if originally issued in another language.

Language Proficiency
– German-taught programs: Proof of German proficiency (TestDaF, DSH, or equivalent – usually B2/C1 level).
– English-taught programs: Proof of English proficiency (e.g., TOEFL iBT minimum 79–100, IELTS 6.5+).

Curriculum Vitae (CV)
– A detailed academic CV outlining your educational and, if applicable, professional background.

Letter of Motivation
– A personal statement explaining why you want to study the program and your academic goals.

Letters of Recommendation
– Some programs may require one or two academic or professional references.

Entrance Exam / Interview (if applicable)
– Specific programs might require aptitude tests, interviews, or portfolios (especially in design, education, etc.).

Application Portal
– Most applications go through RUB’s online portal; some are processed via uni-assist, especially if your degree is from a non-EU country.
