Russell Sage College has two of its campuses based at Albany and Tony, New York. The college is a co-educational institution that offers undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Russell Sage College History

Russell Sage College was established in 1916 and it was founded by by Margaret Olivia Slocum Sage. She named the college in the fond memory of her husband Russell. Initially, the college started as a girl’s college. In 1949, it was decided to further extend the college and offers courses to men. In 2001, two different units of the college Sage College of Albany, and Sage Graduate School came under one name that is Russell Sage College.

On-Campus: For the First-year students there are two residential halls available at the two different campuses. Kellas Hall at Troy Campus and Albany Campus residential hall. There are all double room options for the first-year students.

Off-Campus: The Russell Sage College does not provide any information regarding the off campus accommodations available for the students. Students after getting admission in the university have to find out for themselves using their own sources. Students are advised to be very careful while finding out accommodations as there is possibility of fraud.

Medical Services

Russell Sage College Medical Services are offered to the students at a very nominal price. The appointments are for free. The college also provides health insurance to their students enrolled in full-time courses. There is also a separate gynecology department that provides services like: annual gynecological exams, pap smears, contraceptive counseling and prescriptions, emergency contraception, treatment and counseling for sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy testing and counseling. Visa and Immigration Support

International students applying to the Russell Sage College are eligible for both F1 and J1 Visa depending on the course they have applied. They can apply for Visa once their admission is confirmed by the university. Once their admission is accepted by the university they can then pay the SEVIS Fee. After receiving receipt of the fee they can apply for Visa appointment at their home country. There are some important documents that have to be carried during the interview and also while arriving at the US. They are as follows:
