Ryerson University, History

Ryerson University was established in 1948 as the Ryerson Institute of Technology. In 1964, the institution was reorganized under provincial legislation and renamed Ryerson Polytechnical Institution. In 2002, the university adopted the name Ryerson University.

Admission requirements for Ryerson University international students depend on the country. Applicants educated outside of Ontario must submit documents equivalent to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with six Grade 12 university level (U) or university/college level (M) courses. In order to get admission to a master’s program, the student should have secured 3.0/4.33.
