completing the university application :
Admission criteria for undergraduate programs at TMU vary based on the applicant’s educational background and the specific program of interest.
• Ontario Secondary School Students: Applicants must complete the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with six Grade 12 U or M courses, including program-specific prerequisites. A minimum overall average of 70% is typically required, though some programs may have higher requirements.
• International Secondary School Students: International applicants should present the equivalent of the OSSD, with specific course prerequisites depending on the chosen program. TMU provides country-specific admission requirements to guide prospective students.
• English Language Proficiency: All applicants whose first language is not English and who have not completed a minimum of four years of full-time study in an English-language school system must provide proof of English language proficiency. Acceptable tests and minimum scores include:
• TOEFL: Minimum score of 92, with at least 20 in each component.
• IELTS Academic: Overall band score of 6.5, with no band below 6.0.
• PTE Academic: Score of 60 or higher.
• Duolingo English Test: Minimum score of 115.
