Seattle University History

Seattle University was established in the year 1891. It is a private and Jesuit university situated in Seattle in Washington. It has gone through a series of name changes from Immaculate Conception Parish School to Seattle College and finally to Seattle University. It is the largest and independent university of Northwest of US.

Seattle University Programs, Courses and Schools

Seattle University is a renowned university offering more than 120 undergraduate, postgraduate, and certificate, online and doctoral programs in different fields of study. The university has got eight colleges and schools offering the degree courses.

Most of the faculties are expert in their field of study. Student to faculty ratio is 11:1 with the class size of 18 students. Law school is also the part of campus.

Seattle University campus is a 50 acre infrastructure with campus safety being the priority. Basic amenities to make student life memorable one include dining, recreational area, some architectural works, centre for community engagement, fitness centre, athletic arenas, campus store, healthcare centre and auditorium. Student organisations and clubs give an exploration to the interest areas to the students.

Lemieux Library is the high-tech library with books, e-books, journals, literatures, articles, databases and manuals. Some services include internet access, math lab, research help, writing help and study rooms for students and faculties.

Seattle University is ranked among the top universities of US. It has been ranked among top 15% of universities in US by The Wall Street Journal, one of the best colleges by The Princeton Review and a spot among top 20 Cool Schools in 2019 by Sierra Magazine. University’s athletic teams have many tournaments.

University offers financial assistance to the students so that they can pursue their higher education stress-free. Scholarships, loans, grants and financial aids are offered on fulfilling the required criteria.
