The Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, commonly known as Sheridan College was founded in 1967. More than 50 years old this public college offer programs at three campuses in Ontario: at Brampton, Mississauga and Oakville.

Sheridan comprises of five faculties: Faculty of Animation, Arts and Design, Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies, Faculty of Applied Science and Technology, Faculty of Business and Faculty of Humanties and social Science. Sheridan offers more than 120 programs, including 25 degree programs. It also offers more than 200 programs in continuing and professional studies. Sheridan has 4 main research centers as Center for Elder Research, Screen Industries Research and Training Centre (SIRT), Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies (CAMDT) and Center for Mobile Innovation (CMI).

Sheridan has grown from a local college of 400 students to one of Ontario’s leading postsecondary institutions, educating approximately 23,000 full-time and 3,600 part-time students (Overall Campuses) every year. Sheridan has three on-campus residences: one at Davis Campus (Brampton), which houses 350 students, and two at Trafalgar Road Campus (Oakville), which collectively house 824 students.

Davis Campus is Sheridan’s largest campus, home to more than 12,000 students. This multicultural campus is home to the applied health, community services, engineering and technology programs. In 2017, Davis officially opened its new Skilled Trades Centre. This three-storey, 130,000-square-foot facility is the home for the skilled trades and apprenticeship programs, which were previously offered in Oakville.
