Sichuan Agricultural University History

Sichuan Agricultural University also known as SAU or SICAU is a Chinese educational institution located in Ya’an City, Sichuan. The university was established as Sichuan Tong Sheng Agricultural School in 1906 and was conferred independent institution status in 1956. It was renamed as Sichuan Agricultural University in 1985 and presently enrolls over 40,000 students.

Sichuan Agricultural University offers programs at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels and specializes in Biotechnology and Agricultural Sciences related programs. In total, it offers 91 Bachelor degrees, 87 Master Degrees, and 48 PhD programs across 26 colleges and 15 research institutes.

Sichuan Agricultural University offers these programs in both Chinese and English although the number of programs offered in English is lesser. Some of the subjects on offer include Business, Sciences, Information Engineering, Food Engineering, Arts, Sports, Hydropower Engineering, and Food Sciences.
