Smith School of Business – Master of International Business (MIB) Admission Requirements
1. Academic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business from an accredited university with a minimum B+ average (75%) in the final two years
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum B+ average (75%) in the final two years, plus introductory business courses in:
Financial accounting
Macroeconomics
Introduction to finance
Introduction to marketing
Double Degree Applicants:
Most double degree options require a business degree; check specific program requirements.
2. Work Experience
Not required, but post-graduate work experience is an asset.
3. GMAT or GRE Requirements
Candidates with a business degree and lower than B+ average:
GMAT minimum score: 600 (or 565 Focus Edition)
GRE minimum score: 315
Candidates with a non-business degree:
GMAT required (minimum 600 or 565 Focus Edition)
GRE required (minimum 315)
Best test score will be considered (no penalty for multiple attempts).
4. English Language Proficiency
Required if undergraduate studies were not in English.
TOEFL/IELTS accepted.
Exemptions: Applicants with a university degree in English.
Double Degree Applicants:
Some programs may require additional language courses.
Some may require proficiency in another language.
