Admission Requirements for a Bachelor's Program at Sofia University (Bulgaria)
1. General Requirements:
Completed Secondary Education: Must qualify for higher education in your home country.
Certificate of Recognized Secondary Education: Issued by the Bulgarian Ministry of Education, recalculating your grades into the Bulgarian grading system.
Application Form: Completed and submitted to Sofia University.
Passport Copy: A valid copy of your passport.
Passport-size Photos: Required for official documentation.
Medical Certificate: May be required.
Application Fee: Must be paid upon submission.
2. Additional Requirements for Non-EU Citizens:
Application Period:
For the 2025-2026 academic year, applications are open from July 28 to September 12, 2025.
Entrance Exams:
Required for specific programs, such as biology and chemistry for medical-related programs.
Language Proficiency:
If the program is not in your native language, you may need to provide proof of proficiency, such as IELTS or TOEFL, or take a university language test.
Grade Requirements:
Your secondary school grades in relevant subjects must be at least 62% of the maximum possible grade according to your home country’s grading system.
