Soochow University History

Soochow University located in Suzhou, China was established in the year 1900. The University was a result of the merger of 3 institutions namely the Po-hsi Academy, the Kung-Hsiang Academy, and the Chung-hsi Academy. The University was split due to the Chinese Civil War and its new name was revived in 1982 as Soochow University.

Soochow University comprises of 6 campuses, however, the main campus is at Shizi Street. The University is well known for the beauty of its campus and surroundings creating a positive environment for its students.
