On campus, SNHU offers more than 70 majors and a variety of student clubs and organizations, creating a sense of community.  The campus culture is described by students as welcoming and “family-like,” with opportunities for involvement in athletics (NCAA Division II), intramurals, and social events. While some reviews indicate the campus area is quiet and less urban, students generally find the environment supportive.

Housing facilities (Accommodation)

SNHU offers a variety of on-campus housing options designed to feel like a home away from home, including furnished residence hall suites and shared apartments.  The residence halls come equipped with high-speed WiFi, furniture (bed, desk, wardrobe), and dining plans. Living options include traditional freshmen halls and apartment-style units (for upperclassmen) with private bedrooms and bathrooms.  The university also provides roommate matching and move-in scheduling, and indicates that housing assignments begin in late June for fall term.

Student Safety

SNHU’s campus safety is managed through the Office of Public Safety, whose mission is to protect life and property, deter crime, respond to emergencies, and maintain a safe environment.  Student residences are equipped with dual locking systems (external door + room door locks), deadbolts, and 24/7 staffing by resident assistants and directors.  The campus also features emergency call boxes, exterior lighting of walkways and parking areas, and CCTV recording systems to enhance security.

SNHU provides extensive career support through its Career & Professional Development Center for on-campus students and through the “Career 360” virtual career center for online students and alumni.  Services include résumé writing assistance, interview preparation, job and internship listings, career assessments, portfolio development, and networking opportunities with employers.  Moreover, the university reported connections with thousands of employers: in one recent period, SNHU connected with over 4,000 new employers, and more than 19,000 employers offered 100,000+ full- and part-time jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities.
