Must hold a baccalaureate (undergraduate) degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Minimum GPA requirement:
• Generally 2.7 on undergraduate work (preferred)
• Some departments may permit conditional admission for those with GPA as low as 2.5, subject to performance in first term.
GRE / GMAT / standardized test: The Graduate School allows waiver in many cases.
Letters of Recommendation (usually three)
Statement of Purpose / Personal essay
Official transcripts of all undergraduate (and any graduate) work.
English proficiency test (TOEFL) for international applicants, e.g. minimum TOEFL 525 (or equivalent).
Conditional / Provisional admission:
• Applicants missing some credentials may be admitted provisionally for one semester.
• Those below GPA threshold but meeting some criteria may be conditionally admitted, must maintain GPA ≥ 3.0 in provisional period.
Some programs have program-specific requirements (for example, master’s in Criminal Justice) including GRE, essays, letters, and application of undergraduate specialization.
