Basic / General Requirements
Applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Good moral character: The applicant must demonstrate ethical fitness (i.e. no disqualifying misconduct).
Satisfactory undergraduate academic record — “scholastic average of at least ‘C’” in substantive academic coursework is required.
Application & Procedural Requirements
LSAT (Law School Admission Test) is required for all applicants.
Applications must be submitted through LSAC / CAS (Credential Assembly Service).
Official transcripts of all academic work (undergraduate and any graduate) must be submitted. If coursework is completed after submitting the application, supplemental transcripts are required.
Letters of recommendation: usually two letters are required.
Writing sample / personal statement: An applicant must submit a writing sample; without it, the application is incomplete and will not be processed.
Application fee: A non-refundable fee is required (e.g. US$ 75 as per current schedule).
Seat deposit: Accepted applicants must pay a seat deposit (e.g. $200) to reserve their place in the class.
Immunization / health requirements: Accepted students must submit proof of immunization before registration.
Deadlines & Timing
The application deadline is May 1 for most programs.
Applications are reviewed by a special admissions committee.
No spring (mid-year) admission: Law students are admitted only in the fall semester.
