The below information is required while
completing the university application :
Minimum GPA requirement: A cumulative high school GPA of 2.50 or higher (or equivalent) for regular admission.
GED option: A GED score of 50 or higher is acceptable in lieu of a high school diploma.
Test scores (SAT / ACT):
• SAT / ACT are optional for many applicants.
• However, for “automatic admission,” Spalding lists criteria of ACT 20 or SAT 950 (combined) alongside GPA 2.50+ for some applicants.
Official high school transcript (or equivalent) must be submitted.
Application & deposit:
• Submit an application (online or via Common App).
• There is usually a non-refundable enrollment / housing deposit.
Transfer Students:
• Students with 24 or more transferable college credits must have a college GPA of 2.0 or higher.
• If fewer than 24 credits, they must satisfy the same criteria as first-year applicants (GPA, transcripts).
Special Programs (e.g. Nursing / BSN)
For the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program: Applicants must have prerequisite science courses (e.g. Anatomy & Physiology I & II, Microbiology, Chemistry) completed within the last 10 years.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 is required for science prerequisites.
TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) exam must be taken (Reading, Math, English & Science), with minimum of 60% in each section.
Criminal background check, immunization, and any additional program requirements may apply.
