Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, provides a comprehensive range of infrastructure facilities to support student life and academic pursuits. The residence halls offer various living arrangements, including double, single, triple, and quad occupancy rooms, with essential furnishings and access to community kitchens, laundry facilities, lounges, and mini-computer labs. The Wellness Center at Read Hall features a heated pool, an indoor track, teaching and cooking classrooms, MAC Courts, and multipurpose rooms to promote student health and wellness. The biology research facilities boast open-design laboratories and specialized spaces for various research activities, including tissue culture and microbiology labs.

completing the university application :
Must graduate from an accredited high school or earn a GED diploma.
Submit high school transcripts showing coursework and grades.
Letter(s) of recommendation.
Essay / personal statement.
ACT / SAT scores — submission is optional (i.e. test-optional policy) for first-year applicants (for Fall 2021 and later) except in certain circumstances.
A high school curriculum that demonstrates college preparation is strongly recommended (e.g. 4 years English, 3 years math, science, etc.).
St. Kate’s uses rolling admission — applications are processed as they arrive.
For College for Adults / Transfer / Nontraditional Undergraduate Applicants
From admissions and catalog pages:
Submit official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended.
If the applicant has completed fewer than 12 transferable college credits, official high school transcripts or GED record are required.
If academic credentials are from outside the U.S., a course-by-course credential evaluation is required (for equivalence).
If English is not the first language, submit English language proficiency test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.).
If the applicant’s GPA is low or prior record shows challenges, additional explanation or application materials (essays, interviews) may be requested.
Admission as a degree-seeking student does not guarantee entry into a specific major; later progression requirements may apply.
