St. Clair College History

The Western Ontario Institute of Technology was established in 1958 to augment the then-Ryerson Institute in Toronto, which is now Ryerson University. St. Clair was established in 1966 with the establishment of the Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology; the two institutions were merged a year later.

St. Clair College Campuses

Over 6,000 students attend St. Clair College's main campus, where they study in over 90 programs in Health Sciences, Community Studies, Engineering Technology & Skilled Trades, and Business and Information Technology. Students will discover that living in residence adds a lot to their college experience thanks to the on-campus 204 – 2 bedroom unit residence. The recently opened SportsPlex, which is home to our Saints Varsity program, is located across the street from residence and provides students with the most up-to-date physical training in the 10,000-square-foot fitness center, elevated indoor track, and triple gym.

St. Clair College Libraries

   St. Clair College has libraries on each of its campuses. The library provides knowledge, media, and technology to aid in the teaching and learning process. Its goal is to connect students to the information they require. The Library assists students with their research by providing one-on-one assistance and providing good internet resources. The library also has a print collection that can be used for educational and recreational purposes. There are extensive collections of books, electronic books, journals, e-prints, and online databases and tools.

St. Clair College Housing Services

   Student housing services is provided by St. Clair College through the Windsor and Chatham residences. The room is completely furnished and equipped with WiFi and cable television. The unit has a shared kitchen and laundry facilities. You avoid a 12-month lease by paying only for the 8-month academic year. Each room has a double bed, desk and work area with chair and light, cable television, WiFi Internet connection, closet space with rack, kitchenette, living room, and washroom.

Sports and fitness facilities are available at St. Clair College. Students at St. Clair College have access to the sports and fitness centre, but they must adhere to the current College Mask Protocols. The St. Clair College SportsPlex is a cutting-edge facility with a triple gymnasium, 10,000 square feet of sports and fitness space, an elevated walking track, exercise studios, 12 team rooms, classrooms, and more. It's right across the street from our student residence, so students may pop in before or after classes.

St. Clair College Health & Wellbeing

    The wellness center at St. Clair College caters to students' health and well-being. Counselors are available to help students acclimate to the demands of college life by assisting them with academic preparation, stress and problem management, as well as career and educational planning. Counseling is offered on a volunteer basis, by appointment only, and is simple to schedule. At both the Windsor and Chatham campuses, there are counselors available.

Both campuses of St. Clair College offer the greatest residential life. At the St. Clair College residential facility, you can get the most out of your educational journey. Each of the 204 two-bedroom suites is fully furnished and has a kitchenette with a microwave and one full-sized refrigerator, as well as a satellite TV. Other amenities include 24-hour security, communal lounge rooms, laundry facilities, and a short walk to class. There's always something to do because to the numerous activities planned by the student council, and there's plenty of shopping nearby. Students have access to a communal area as well.
