completing the university application :
Applicants should have a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
SCSU is test-optional: SAT / ACT scores are not required for admission, though applicants may submit them to enhance their application or qualify for scholarships.
Official high school transcripts must be submitted.
Completing a college-preparatory curriculum is strongly recommended, including:
• 4 years of English
• 3 years of Mathematics (including algebra, geometry)
• 3 years of Science, with at least two lab sciences
• 3 years of Social Studies (history, government, etc.)
• 2 years of the same world language
For international / non-U.S. applicants:
• High school transcripts, translated into English if necessary, sent as official records
• Proof of English proficiency (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS) if prior schooling was not in English
• Other documents such as a financial affidavit or bank statements to support visa / I-20 processing
Some programs may require additional criteria or prerequisite courses, especially in restricted or competitive majors.
