State University of Maringa History

The State University of Maringa is a public university located in Parana, Brazil. It was established in the year 1969 and was known in 1976 by the Federal Government of Brazil.

State University of Maringa Programs, Courses, and Schools

The State University of Maringa, offers 80 undergraduate programs, 25 programs, postgraduate programs, and continuing education. The University also offers distance learning programs for the students. The University has more than18,000 academic staff including undergraduate students and postgraduate students.

State University of Maringa Campuses

The State University of Maringa has 5 campuses. The first campus is Maringa located in Southern Brazil. The second campus is Goioere campus located in Southern Brazil. The third campus is Cianorte located in Northwest Parana. The fourth campus Cidade Gauncha located in Southern Brazil. The fifth campus is Umuarama located in Southern Brazil. The University covers 109 municipalities in northwestern Parana and has teaching, research and extension activities are done on campus.

The State University of Maringa won with 35 athletes and got qualified for Brazilian and World Championships. Former student and teacher received an award for a study that puts in check program effectiveness to resolve tax debt.

The University ranked 1001+ by World University Rankings and 301+ by Young University Rankings in 2019. It also ranked 71-80th by Latin America Rankings in the year 2019. The University ranked 20th in Brazil Universities. In 2015, it was ranked 3rd in Parana and 6th in Brazil by General Course Index.
