State University of Northern Rio De Janeiro was established in the year 1991. It is a public university which is situated in Rio De Janeiro in Brazil. It got its planning from Professor Darcy Ribeiro and its architecture from Oscar Niemeyer. It formation was approved after passing of the decree.
State University of Northern Rio De Janeiro Programs, Courses and Schools
State University of Northern Rio de Janeiro is organised into various educational departments and four centres. It offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs. Students can also apply for other courses like post doctoral courses, research studies, multidisciplinary programs and distance learning.
It became the first university in Brazil to have the all its faculties holding doctorate in the area of study with skills and experience. Additional courses include diploma, extension courses and study abroad program. It has been highly ranked for the teaching of some of its courses and is known for the research.

State University of Rio de Janeiro has a widespread and urban campus with all the modern facilities available for the students. Campus services include campus security, transportation services, labs, cafeteria, auditorium, gym, sports complex, recreational area, theatre, gardens and parks, parking services, innovation labs and healthcare clinics and facilities. There are student clubs and unions helping students in personality and skill development. University press published magazines and editorials.
It has five library centres of the university. Each have digital facilities and are equipped with books, journals, research guides, study material, exam guides and periodicals. Other services include sitting areas, study rooms, databases, virtual library, training rooms and online book renewal services.
