The Frescati neighborhood, which stretches from the Bergius Botanical Garden in the north to Sveaplan in the south, is home to the majority of Stockholm University. It is situated in the first national urban park in the world, and the region is distinguished by its modern art, architecture, and natural features, including the Aula Magna (auditorium). Kräftriket, Lilla Frescati, Sveaplan, Frescati Backe, Frescati Hage, Albano, and the Bergius Botanical Garden are all parts of Frescati. Many of these regions have names that date back to the late eighteenth century. A number of locations in Brunnsviken were given Italian names following Gustav III's visit to Italy in 1783–1784. The Department of Computer and Systems Sciences at Stockholm University is located on a different campus in Kista.
