In 1963 SUNY Fulton Montgomery Community College was founded. The institution was established after the approval of the Boards of Supervisors of Fulton and Montgomery counties and the Board of Trustees of the State University of New York. The founder of the college was President Dr. William Gragg who served the College from March 1964 - June 1971. The students are enrolled in 15 different countries around the world.

Research Scholar: A foreign national whose primary purpose is conducting research, observing, or consulting in connection with a research project at research institutions, corporate research facilities, museums, libraries, post-secondary accredited academic institutions, or similar types of institutions. A research scholar also may teach or lecture were authorized by the sponsor. (Minimum: 3 weeks; Maximum: 5 Years)
Short-Term Scholar: A foreign national who is a professor, research scholar, or person with similar education or accomplishments who enters the United States for a short-term visit for the purpose of lecturing, observing, consulting, training, or demonstrating special skills at research institutions, museums, libraries, post-secondary accredited academic institutions, or similar types of institutions. (Minimum: N/A; Maximum: 6 Months)
