Step-by-Step Guide to Admission Requirements at Tanta University

The below information is required while
completing the university application :

Admission requirements for bachelor's (undergraduate) programs at Tanta University:

Secondary Education Certificate
Applicants must hold a Thanaweya Amma (Egyptian high school certificate) or its recognized international equivalent (e.g., IGCSE, American diploma, SAT, IB), with specific minimum scores depending on the faculty—especially in science subjects for Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy, and related programs 

Proof of Language Proficiency
Programs taught in Arabic require proficiency in Arabic. For English-medium faculties (like Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy), applicants may need to provide TOEFL/IELTS results; however, a strong English background from secondary studies may waive this 

Entrance Exams (for select faculties)
High-demand faculties—such as Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy—often require passing additional entrance exams in subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and related disciplines 

Personal & Health Documents
Applicants must submit certified copies of birth certificates, national ID (for Egyptian students), or passport copies (for international students), along with recent medical exams confirming fitness for study

Equivalency for International Students
Non-Egyptian applicants need an equivalency certificate for prior qualifications, certified translations, passport copy, recent photos, and documentation required by the "Study in Egypt" platform or Ministry of Higher Education

Completed Application & Fee Payment
All applicants must submit the official application form (online or via the Study in Egypt portal), pay admission and tuition fees, and provide bank receipts as specified. International students also require any specified embassy letters if on scholarship
