Technical University of Dortmund History

Technical University of Dortmund also known as TU Dortmund is a technical university located in the German town of Dortmund in North Rhine-Westphalia. The university was established in year 1968 as technical university and has grown to enrol over 35,000 students and employing 6000 staff.

Technical University of Dortmund offers 80 programs at undergraduate and graduate level in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Spatial Planning and Civil Engineering. 
Technical University of Dortmund also offers programs in Business and Economics, Education, Psychology and Sociology, Rehabilitation Sciences, Human Sciences and Theology, Art and Sports Sciences and Cultural Studies in addition to various research programs in Chemical Biology, Drug Research, Materials, Production Technology, and Logistics.

Technical University of Dortmund is located 2 miles from the city centre of Dortmund and comprises of two campuses called North and South Campus. The university campus offers an idyllic setting and a suitable environment to study and relax.

Technical University of Dortmund campus comprises of library, halls of residence, student union, sports grounds, and numerous retail, leisure, and recreational facilities. The university campus is located close to a nature reserve and connected to city centre via a hanging monorail system.
