Step-by-Step Guide to Admission Requirements at Technical University of Munich

The below information is required while
completing the university application :

1. Academic Requirements

Secondary School Diploma: Must be equivalent to German Abitur (check via anabin database)

If not equivalent: Complete Studienkolleg (1-year prep course) + pass Feststellungsprüfung

Program-Specific Prerequisites:

STEM programs: Advanced Math, Physics, Chemistry

Management/CS: Math + additional subject requirements

2. Language Requirements

German-Taught Programs:

TestDaF: 4xTDN4

DSH: Level 2

Goethe C2: Required if no other certificate

English-Taught Programs (only 2 options: BSc Management & Technology, BSc Informatics):

IELTS: 6.5+

TOEFL iBT: 88+

Cambridge: C1 Advanced (CAE)

3. Additional Requirements

VPD (Preliminary Documentation): From uni-assist (€75 fee)

Entrance Exam/Interview: Required for some programs (e.g., Architecture)
