Northeastern University D’Amore- McKim School of Business was founded in 1907. It is the business school of Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. 

University History

In 1907 Northeastern University D’Amore- McKim School of Business was founded when commerce and industry courses were offered by the School of Commerce and Finance of the Boston YMCA. In 1922, the College of Business Administration (CBA) was established and offered Northeastern's first full-time business programs, and in 1924 the college started incorporating cooperative education in its curriculum. In 1960, all business programs were offered by the university's Evening Division which were merged with the CBA. In 1962, the college got its accreditation. The university began with its first Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in 1951 as part of its Evening Division, and in 1958, MBA program became part of the Graduate School. At that point of time the school began with its several specialized master's degree programs, and in 2006 it began with one of the first accredited Online MBA programs. In 1965, the Graduate School of Professional Accounting was established. In 2012, alumni Richard D'Amore and Alan McKim joined the institution with a big investment. As a result, Northeastern's College of Business Administration became the D'Amore-McKim School of Business- the first college or school to be named at Northeastern.

A professor also may conduct research where authorized by the sponsor. (Minimum: 3 weeks; Maximum: 5 Years)
  • Research Scholar: A foreign national whose primary purpose is conducting research, observing, or consulting in connection with a research project at research institutions, corporate research facilities, museums, libraries, post-secondary accredited academic institutions, or similar types of institutions. A research scholar also may teach or lecture were authorized by the sponsor. (Minimum: 3 weeks; Maximum: 5 Years)
  • Short-Term Scholar: A foreign national who is a professor, research scholar, or person with similar education or accomplishments who enters the United States for a short-term visit for the purpose of lecturing, observing, consulting, training, or demonstrating special skills at research institutions, museums, libraries, post-secondary accredited academic institutions, or similar types of institutions. (Minimum: N/A; Maximum: 6 Month)
  • After you have been accepted to study at CSUMB, you will receive a Form I-20 document in your admission package with your official admission letter and can begin the student visa application process.

How to apply for your F-1 visa-

  • Verify your information – Form I-20
  • Passport must match your name and date of birth (DOB)
  • Program dates match the length of the program you've selected
  • Immediately contact CSUMB if any of your information is incorrect
  • Complete the online visa application – Form DS-160
  • Complete the online visa application
  • Print the application form confirmation page to bring to your interview
  • Photo – You will upload your photo while completing the online Form DS-160. Your photo must meet photograph requirements
  • Schedule an interview - at the U.S. embassy or consulate in the country where you live. You may schedule your interview at any U.S. embassy or consulate, but it may be difficult to qualify for a visa outside of your permanent residence. Wait times for interview appointments vary by location, season, and visa category. Apply for your visa as early as possible.
  • Pay the I-901 SEVIS fee before going to the U.S. embassy or consulate for your visa interview. The fee must be paid online.
