Tsinghua University’s undergraduate admission process for international students:
Eligibility:
Must be foreign citizens (not Chinese nationals).
In good physical and mental health with good character.
Aged 18 or above by the application deadline.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Academic Requirements:
Transcripts: Official high school transcripts (preferably in English).
Test Scores: SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, IB, etc.
GPA: Generally 3.5 or higher preferred.
Supporting Documents: Awards, certificates, or other achievements.
Language Proficiency:
For Chinese-taught programs:
HSK Level 5 required (or Level 4 with a commitment to reach Level 5 in the first year).
Each HSK subject must score over 60.
For English-taught programs:
TOEFL ≥ 80 or IELTS ≥ 6.5.
Other Requirements:
A compelling personal statement.
