United Arab Emirates University History:
The United Arab Emirates University is a public university which was established in the year 1976 and is located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The university is known as one of the oldest universities of the United Arab Emirates which was established after independence from Britain by then the founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. 

United Arab Emirates University Programs, Courses, and Schools:
The United Arab Emirates University comprises eleven colleges; College of Graduate Studies, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, College of Science, College of Food and Agriculture, College of Law, College of Education, College of Engineering, College of Information Technology, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Business and Economics, and the University College.

All these colleges consist of more than 30 different departments some of them are; Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science and Software Engineering, Translation Studies, Psychology and Counseling, History and Archaeology, Veterinary Medicine, Agribusiness and Consumer Science, Curriculum & Instruction, and many more. 

United Arab Emirates University Campus:
The United Arab Emirates University is an accredited university and features six separate smaller campuses. The 80-hectare campus is a showcase of specialized research centers, high-tech laboratories, modern architecture, cutting-edge IT infrastructure, and 21st-century classroom technology.  The campus comprises a community with multiple restaurants and cafes, banking facilities, bright, modern campus residences, and exceptional athletic and recreational facilities. 

The university also consists of an extensive library offering massive physical and electronic resources, two world-class health clubs facilitated with latest fitness equipment, two Olympic sized swimming pools, as well as tennis, basketball, and badminton courts. The university has ten Research Centres; Emirates Center for Happiness Research, The National Space Science and Technology Center, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Center for Health Sciences, Khalifa Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Roadway Transportation & Traffic Safety Research Center, UAEU Center for Public Policy and Leadership, National Water Center, Date Palm Development Research Unit Department, Emirates Center for Energy and Environment Research, and the Emirates Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment.

United Arab Emirates University Achievements:
The United Arab Emirates University has many achievements throughout its journey some of the major events and achievements are: The “Roadmap to the University of the Future” was launched in the year 2017, The University received institutional accreditation from WASC (Senior College and University Commission), the UAEU received institutional accreditation from the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in 2014, Mobile learning was introduced and the university was ranked amongst one of the top 50 universities around the world.

The United Arab Emirates University provides scholarships and grants to the students on the basis of academic excellence. The university also provides the students with Student Clubs and Health Clubs which helps them in staying confident, healthy, and fit. The university comprises a Student activity department as well which fosters students’ success and takes pride in working with and helping students, faculty, and alumni. The UAEU is continuously ranked as the top university in the United Arab Emirates and the 4th in the GCC.

The United Arab Emirates University alumni have provided the country with senior government officials, diplomats, ministers, and business leaders. Some of the notable alumni are: Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan (deputy prime minister and minister of presidential affairs of the United Arab Emirates), Najla Al Qassimi (UAE's first female ambassador), Mariam Al Mansouri (first woman to fly combat fighters in UAE), and many more.
