The below information is required while
completing the university application :
a) Admission form
b) Non-refundable admission fee taka 15,000
c) Photocopies with attestation of all academic certificates, mark sheets/transcripts, testimonials
d) A relevant undergraduate degree from a recognized university with a GPA of 2.00 or above in a scale of 4.0
e) A relevant Bachelor's Degree with at least second divisions/classes in all previous exams.
f) Students completing undergraduate programs from UIU having a minimum CGPA of 2.00 will be eligible to get admission to any graduate programs without appearing at the Admission Test
g) Some students may be required to complete some additional preparatory courses at UIU before they start their Master’s programs
h) English language proficiency
i) TOEFL is 550 (PBT), 160 (CBT), 55 (IBT) and for IELTS is 6.00

In June 2024, the UIU Mars Rover team clinched the 1st place in Asia for the third consecutive year at the University Rover Challenge held in Utah, USA. Competing against 38 teams from 15 countries, the team demonstrated exceptional skills in science exploration, autonomous navigation, terrain traversal, and equipment servicing. Their performance earned them 5th place overall, showcasing UIU's prowess in robotics and engineering.

Developed by the Centre for Energy Research (CER) at UIU, this system integrates IoT sensors, prepaid metering, and remote monitoring to optimize water usage in agriculture. It aims to enhance water conservation and ensure equitable distribution among farmers, contributing to sustainable agricultural practices in Bangladesh.
This project addresses the challenges of preserving perishable goods in remote areas by combining solar photovoltaic energy with diesel generators. The hybrid system provides a reliable power source for cold storage units, reducing post-harvest losses and improving food security in off-grid communities.
Led by Prof. Dr. Hasan Sarwar, this system enables the digitization of printed Bangla text, facilitating the preservation of cultural heritage and improving accessibility for visually impaired individuals. The project received funding from the Access to Information Programme of the Prime Minister’s Office.
