After graduating from UCR, you can apply for a one-year "search year" (zoekjaar) residence permit, officially known as the "Orientation Year for Highly Educated Persons." This permit allows you to live and work in the Netherlands for one year without needing a separate work permit while you look for a job.
The "search year" is a special residence permit for recent graduates from top Dutch universities like UCR (and some top foreign universities). You can apply for it at the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) after your graduation. If you find a job as a "knowledge migrant" (kennismigrant) during this year, you can switch to a work permit.
