University for Peace History

University for Peace was established in the year 1980. It is a graduate school which is situated in San Jose in Costa Rica. It is an intergovernmental organisation, It was formed after the treaty was signed in United Nations General Assembly. It was for the global peace by imparting graduate education in the same field.

University for Peace Programs, Courses and Schools

University for Peace comprises of four departments offering education in various disciplines. It offers master’s and doctoral degree programs. Other programs include dual degree programs, research, study abroad, language courses, special programs, online programs, distance education and diplomas.
