    Improving wound healing after C-sections

To better understand corrective surgery following caesarian sections, Reto Wildhaber's team has created a visualization technique. In Switzerland, 32% of babies are delivered by caesarean section. While hospitals are attempting to lower the number of procedures that are not medically essential, Switzerland’s percentage remains one of the highest in Europe. Gaps in the anterior uterine wall and impaired wound healing can result from unknown tissue causes.
