At FH Kufstein Tirol, the most prominent student accommodation option is the International Student Residence (ISR), a dedicated housing complex situated on the banks of the river Inn, roughly a 10‑minute walk from both the city centre and the campus. This residence consists of four connected buildings with around 175 places, offering a range of fully furnished single studios, twin studios and three‑person shared flats equipped with a kitchenette, private bathroom, heating, water, electricity, unlimited Wi‑Fi and TV connection in all rooms making it a convenient and comfortable option for students. ISR also includes community facilities such as a large communal kitchen, roof terraces, a learning lounge with PCs and printer, meeting areas with TV, bicycle storage and ski/snowboard rooms, plus services like nightly security patrols and an on‑site resident manager to support students.

The university’s house rules and student guidelines clearly state that dangerous objects such as firearms, knives, explosives and similar items are prohibited on campus, helping maintain a secure academic environment, and video surveillance is in place at all main entrances and public areas to deter unauthorised access and protect against damage or theft. First aid kits are available on each floor of the campus buildings, and a defibrillator is located on the ground floor near the Infopoint for emergencies; evacuation plans and clearly marked emergency exit routes are also provided in lecture halls and corridors for rapid response in case of fire or other incidents.
