Every year, more than 600 abroad postings are made possible by the University's Global Opportunities Team. For instance, if you are pursuing a degree in Modern Languages, you will spend your third year in a place or countries related to the language or languages you have chosen. As you study at a partner university, teach English, or do a job placement, you will have the chance to learn more about the culture and society for yourself. There are alternatives for studying or working overseas with a number of non-language degrees (please look for "with Study Abroad" or "with Study in Continental Europe" in the course listings). They have several courses that allow you to spend time in industry in order to provide you practical experience and improve your employability (look for course titles like "with Industrial Experience" or "Study in Industry").
