The University of Brunei Darussalam was established in the year of 1985 as the country’s premier national university. And since it became the largest university in the country. It has seen an increase in the number of graduate students after the Introduction of new academic programmes, the enhancement of infrastructure and the development of graduate studies.

The University of Brunei Darussalam has nine academic faculties and seven research institutes covering the fields of Science, Health Sciences, Asian Studies, Education, Policy Studies, Business, Engineering, Biodiversity, Advanced Materials & Energy Sciences, Advanced Research, Applied Data Analytics, Leadership, Islamic Studies, and Advancement & Innovation.

Also has a lot of sports clubs available on the campus. University includes Aerobic Club, Aikido Club, Badminton Club, Basketball Club, Yoga Club and more. The leading academic library in the university continuously strives to provide excellence in service by supporting teaching, learning, and research of academic and students of the university.
