University of California Merced History
The University of California, Merced is a public research university is located in the San Joaquin Valley in Merced County, California. October 25, 2002, campus innovational ceremony was held and the first day of classes began on September 6, 2005. UC Merced was nationally classified with the Carnegie Classification for community engagement, along with UC Davis and UCLA In January 2015.

The University of California, Merced has 3 schools such as School of Engineering, School of Natural Sciences, School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts. They offer 23 undergraduate majors and 25 minors.
University of California Merced Campuses
The University of California, Merced campus is bounded by Lake Yosemite on one side, and two irrigation canals run through the campus. The library and central power plant have been described as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold structures in terms of their high energy efficiency and low environmental impact. The campus is located about seven miles north of downtown Merced. The library was the first building to open on campus it is named as Kolligian library.
University of California Merced Achievements and USP
The University of California, Merced offers Scholarships as gift funds that are often awarded on the basis of financial need, merit, academic achievement, special talents, interest, or other criteria defined by the sponsoring organization or donor. Scholarship funds do not have to be repaid. The University provides Institutional Scholarships, Outside/External Scholarships, and Middle-Class Scholarship.
