The University of Cartagena, founded in 1827, is one of Colombia’s oldest public research universities. It became the first public institution in the Caribbean region to earn High‑Quality Institutional Accreditation from the Ministry of Education (2014) and later obtained an international accreditation by UDUAL in 2022.

Submission of valid ICFES SABER?11 scores (minimum ~200 for in-person; ~150 for distance-learning programs)? .

Admission is based strictly on SABER?11 ranking—higher scores receive priority until program capacity is reached?.

Application Process

Purchase admission PIN online or via designated banks (~COP?152,200), valid only until the specified deadline (e.g., June?17 for second-semester admission)? .

Use the PIN to complete the online application on SMA platform by the deadline.

Selections are made in descending order of SABER?11 score; results are published online?.
