Unicórdoba established three operational veterinary hospitals—Julio E. Cuervo, companion-animal, and large-animal clinics—providing advanced practical training and community service.
From its initial Montería base, the university expanded to Campuses in Ciénaga de Oro, Sahagún, Planeta Rica, Lorica, and Montelíbano, improving regional access to higher education
Supported by the Vice‑rectory of Research, Unicórdoba filed a patent study for a specialized 3D printer printhead designed to impregnate continuous fiber during extrusion (FDM). The innovation enhances the FDM process by enabling structural reinforcement directly during printing. This patent project was partially funded through a national R&D patent incentive program.
Unicórdoba secured its first-ever patent of invention under Resolution No. 13586 granted by Colombia’s Superintendence of Industry and Commerce. This milestone marked a new era in the university’s scientific and innovation efforts .
