University of Dallas
The University of Dallas is a private Catholic university in which is situated in Irving, Texas, United States. Despite the fact that the University of Dallas is a Catholic institution, it welcomes students of all faiths. The University of Dallas currently has over 1,400 undergraduate students and 1,200 graduate students from all over the world.
University of Dallas History
The University of Dallas was founded in 1910 by the Western Province of the Congregation of the Mission (Vincentians), who renamed Holy Trinity College in Dallas, which they had founded in 1905. The Western Province provincial closed the university in 1928, and the charter reverted to the Diocese of Dallas. The Western Province of the Sisters of Saint Mary of Namur obtained it in 1955 in order to establish a new higher education institution in Dallas that would replace their junior college, Our Lady of Victory College, which was located in Fort Worth.
In September 1956, the new University of Dallas opened its doors to 96 students on a 1,000-acre tract of rolling hills northwest of Dallas.

The University of Dallas is divided into four academic units: the Braniff Graduate School of Liberal Arts, the Constantin College of Liberal Arts, the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business, and the School of Ministry. Dallas has several master's degree programs as well as a doctoral degree program with three concentrations.

The University of Dallas's USP/Achievements the Department of Art was ranked 191 in the Best Graduate School Rankings 2016 by US News & World Report. The Washington Monthly ranked the University of Dallas 15th among master's universities. In addition, the University of Dallas is ranked 225th on Forbes' list of America's Best Colleges (2019 edition). According to a 2010 survey of political theory professors published in the journal Political Science & Politics, the doctoral concentration in politics was ranked 29th out of 106 programs in the United States specializing in political theory.

University of Dallas Campuses
The University of Dallas campus is in Irving, Texas, on a 744-acre (301-hectare) campus in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The University of Dallas campus is mostly made up of mid-century modernist, earth-toned brick buildings nestled in the natural Texas landscape. The Orpheum Theatre, a small Greek-style performance space built into a hillside, is located on campus.

Cowan-Blakley Memorial Library is a library at the University of Dallas.
The Cowan-Blakley Memorial Library's mission is to promote and facilitate scholarly engagement by providing access to traditional and innovative resources, designing adaptable spaces, and cultivating excellence in teaching, learning, and research. The University of Dallas Library houses around 300,000 volumes, which include circulating books, serials, and special collections. More than 115 databases and 84,000 online publications are available to students, faculty, and staff.

University of Dallas Housing services
The residence life department at the University of Dallas provides housing services. The University of Dallas has seven undergraduate residence halls: six 'traditional-style' halls for new students and one suite-style hall for upperclassmen that are still required to live on campus. Five of the traditional halls have two floors, with common hallways on each floor, a common bathroom and shower facilities on each floor, a lounge/TV area, and a laundry room with washers and dryers. While each 'traditional' hall has a kitchen, the suite-style hall does not. The traditional halls range in size from 31 to 96 residents. The halls are directly supervised by Resident Assistants and Residence Coordinators.

University of Dallas Medical services
Student Health Clinic provides medical services at the University of Dallas. Dr. Lora Rodriguez, a physician, staffs the University Student Health Clinic on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the academic year. The clinic, located on the second floor of the Haggar University Center, is only open to currently enrolled students. Students must make an appointment due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic; no walk-ins are currently accepted. For an appointment, students should call 972-721-5322. As needed, virtual appointments may be provided.

The residential life at the University of Dallas is full of joy and the best life learning experience. The University of Dallas is dedicated to establishing a link between academic and residential life. Living on campus benefits both the individual student and the community as a whole in terms of intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual development. Undergraduate students under the age of 21 or with fewer than ninety earned credit hours are required to live on campus. Students who are subject to the residency requirement must live on campus. The University of Dallas Police Department ensures students' safety at all times. The University of Dallas has professional safety officers on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week for your convenience and protection. Physical security, fire protection and prevention, emergency first aid, safety programs, and inspections are all provided by these officers, who also investigate and enforce violations of the Code of Student Conduct and criminal offenses on UD property.
