University of Debrecen History
The University of Debrecen also known as Debreceni Egyetem is a university located in the town of Debrecen, Hungary. The university was established in 1583 and is the oldest educational institution in the country. Presently, the university enrolls 27,000 students and employs 2000 academic staff.

The University of Debrecen is home to the largest computing cluster in Hungary known as Leo or 203 TFlop/s which is counted in top 500 supercomputers of the world. The university has also produced 5 Oscar or Academy Award Winning Artists in the past.

University of Debrecen USP
The University of Debrecen published many journals including the Hungarian Journal of English and American Studies. The university also collaborates with Debrecen Summer School to teach Hungarian Culture and Language to International students.
