The University of Italian Switzerland is a public university placed in Lugano, Switzerland. I t was established in the year 1996. The University of Italian Switzerland is the only university in Switzerland where the official language is Italian.

The third campus Bellinzona campus, the faculties include is the Institute for Research in Biomedicine and the Institute of Oncology Research.
