Initially University of Liverpool was constituted as a college in 1881 and subsequently got its Royal Charter in 1903 and the license to award

degrees. University of Liverpool has earned the title of one of the six original ‘Red Brick’ Civic Universities. Currently, the student count of the University of Liverpool is 29,600 out of which 22,690 are undergraduates and 6,910 are postgraduates.
