University of London History and Background:
The University of London is a public university which was established in the year 1836 and is located in London, England. The University of London was established by Royal Charter for the public benefit and is recognized globally. This was the first university to admit students regardless of their gender, race or religion, the first to admit women to degree programmes and, in 1865, the first to give students the opportunity to study wherever they are, providing access to higher education across the globe.

University of London launches ‘Leading Women’ campaign 2018 marks the 150th anniversary of women being permitted to sit ‘special examinations’ at the University of London.
