University of Memphis History

University of Memphis was established in 1912 and is located Memphis, Tennessee. The General Education Bill demanded three colleges be established for the grand division and the African American students. Memphis was chosen as one of the locations as the rail line to the proposed location was approved as well.

University of Memphis comprises of four campuses, the main campus, Park Avenue Campus, Downtown Law School Campus and the Lambuth Campus. The campuses are built with an extremely large green space and walkways preserving the historic architecture.
